| On Aug 5 we are doing a kids ride to the Shady Dell Train Park in Mollala. Vancouverites will leave the Mill Plain/I-205 Elmer's at 11am and head to the McDonald's on HWY 224 and SE 135th in Clackamas (exit 12A if going south on I-205 or exit 12 if going north - then east on 224) to have lunch around 11:30. Anyone wanting to join us that lives south of Vancouver can meet us there. After lunch we ride to Estacada then head south on 211 to Mollala and the train park to ride the train.
As of this moment the forcast is for temps in the 90's on Sunday so bring lots of sunscreen and water. My wife is also driving - bringing along our 2 yr old - so there is a vehicle for the kids to ride in if they get too hot or tired. Anyone is welcome to come along - kid or not - to enjoy the ride, the company and the trains... see you there!
